About Leading

Leading walks for the club is a very rewarding experience, although the first couple of times might be a bit nerve racking, other leaders are always willing to lend a hand and offer a bit of friendly advice should you need it.

Leading a walk involves good navigational skills, some organisational skills and a good sense of humour.

Doing a ‘reccie’ a few weeks before the actual walk should mitigate the need to do too much navigation on the day, unless it’s a bit misty, and the guidance in the leaders handbook should provide all the information you need to organise the walk, leaving you to enjoy the walk on the day.

Thank you for leading walks for the Club. Without members willing to lead we would not have a Walk Programme.
